TROUBLESHOOTING

· Ensure there are no obstructions to the South East line of sight as this will stop the satellite signal. E.g. trees, buildings etc.

· Ensure the south leg is correctly positioned.This means it will be parallel to the south needle (white) on the compass.

· Ensure you have elevated the dish to the correct angle as per the supplied Zone Map

· Ensure the tripod is as level as possible using the level bubble built into the tripod, an uneven tripod will change the angle that the dish has to be set to.

The most common cause for this is that you have aligned your dish to the wrong satellite. There are several satellites located in the southern sky and the Sat Finder will pick up any one of these. The features built in to the Precision system aim to overcome the possibility of locating the wrong satellite. Ensuring that your tripod is level and your elevation angle is correct should help this. If you are still unable to locate the correct satellite, try adjusting the Azimuth angle slightly both the left and right until the Sat Finder recognises another satellite.

It is also possible that you have located the correct satellite, but your receiver is set up incorrectly:

· Ensure your satellite receiver is switched on and set to the correct satellite you are searching for

· Ensure you have selected the correct source if your TV has a built in satellite receiver.

The buzzer function has been disabled on the Precision ID.

The Sat ID LED works with any current working channel when you set up the system. However if you find do experience problems we always recommend to use a main stream TV channel.

We always recommend to fine tune using the Sat Finder LED’s even when your Sat Found LED is lit. Please refer to the Precision ID instructions above on how to fine tune with the Sat Finder.

It is not possible to turn the LED off. The LED’s use a very low and insignificant amount of power. We recommend to turn the Sat Finder down (just green LED lit) and if you prefer you can also disconnect the Audio cable to stop the function of the Sat Found LED.

There is a very small delay (milliseconds) but you should not notice this. However on some satellite receivers, such as SKY® there may be a longer delay (0.5-1 second). In this situation we suggest you scan slower.

Yes the delay can be between 3-10 seconds, this is normal. During normal operation, once the Sat Found LED lights up, you should stop rotating the dish.

We recommend to use the Phono to 3.5mm Jack adaptor (supplied).These can be used on the headphone socket of your TV. Please note once you have set up your system you will have to remove the 3.5mm Jack as this will mute the TV. Some TV’s will allow you to turn this function off, please refer to TV manufacturer’s instructions.

This can happen in certain situations but will not affect the function of your system or affect your signal to watch TV.

This is only a guide. As long as your tripod is on relatively flat ground you should locate the right satellite. If you are on a more uneven surface, this is ok, however, you may need to adjust your elevation from that specified on the map to offset the uneven surface.

Ensure your rotation lock is not in the locked position. Rotate the knob anti-clockwise to unlock.

The Sat Finder is internally wired to the top output.Therefore, if you wish to use your Sat Finder ID in a twin kit, but are only using one coaxial connection, ensure you connect the cable to the top output.

· As the Sat Finder is powered by the satellite receiver, there could be a problem with the connection between the satellite receiver (or TV with built in satellite receiver) and the connection on the Precision.

If the connection is not the problem, the satellite receiver may have stopped outputting the voltage up the coaxial cable to the Sat Finder.

To operate correctly, the Sky+ HD receiver must have both LNB inputs on the rear of the receiver connected to the twin LNB outputs on thePrecision system. If you wish to use a Sky+ HD receiver with a single LNB system you will need to set your receiver to “Single Feed Mode”, follow the below instructions (doing so at your own risk):

1. Press the Services button on your Sky remote, the Options menu should now be highlighted. In quick succession, press the button combination 0,0,1 then Select on your Sky remote you will now have access to the hidden installers menu with the Setup tab highlighted.

2. If you are unable to access the installers menu then press the Sky button and repeat the process again.

3. Press either the Select or Down arrow on your Sky remote to select the Setup tab, "LNB Type" should now be highlighted.

4. Use the Down arrow on your Sky remote to scroll down to the Single Feed Mode option then press the Right button on your Sky remote to change the option to ON. After you have made the change press the Green button on your Sky remote to save the new setting, this should normally take a few minutes to complete.

5. Pressing SELECT will reboot your Sky+ box and any recordings will be stopped and your system will now be in single feed mode.

Ensure the Azimuth/Rotation lock is fully released before rotating the system.

This is normal and required for rotation; however once you secure the azimuth lock, the system will become stable and will not affect signal reception or quality.

The Precision kit has been designed for outdoor use. Therefore, it has been designed for water to pass through the unit and exit easily. The system will dry out very quickly.

It is not possible to upgrade to a larger dish.
